The Vaccine

March 2nd, 2021

Well here we are. On March 2nd, 2021, I received the first shot of the Moderna Vaccine as an emergency worker. It’s been a little over a year since the COVID-19 Pandemic took hold in the U.S., and almost a year since I started this newsletter. I have been working over 40 hours a week ever since… swimming in coronavirus at every turn.

Thanks to the amazing organization of the CORE relief organization and LAFD, I was able to receive my vaccine at a work site quickly and efficiently.

CORE was Co-founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee, and if you are in California, or several other States including the Navajo Nation, chances are your COVID testing or vaccine site has been organized by CORE in conjunction with your local fire department and/or community organizations.

I am very grateful an organization with such skill stepped forward to help during a time of mass confusion and lack or government direction. If you can, I encourage you to donate any small amount to continue the fight. We have a long way to go.
